Bonny Lundy is a contemporary impressionist interested in color, shape, movement, atmosphere and light.

Bonny Lundy is one of the most highly regarded watercolorists in the Washington DC area. She owns Pleasant View Studio in Brookeville, Maryland where she creates expressive watercolor and oil landscapes, florals, figure and still life. Lundy’s connection with nature is conveyed through emotional color, flowing, impressionistic brushstrokes, movement of elegant shapes, and brilliant color energy. Her paintings are included in private and the public collections of Geico, US Council on Aging, Sandy Spring Museum, Nat Institute of Health, Glen Echo Nat Park. Lundy’s Art has been featured in The Washington Post, Artworks This Week, Frederick Magazine and the Olney Gazette.

Lundy has BFA in painting from Lake Erie College. She exhibits at The Artists Gallery and with Countryside Artisans Tour. Her award winning artwork is included in juried competitions and solo shows. Lundy has taught drawing and watercolor for thirty-five years at Glen Echo National Park in Bethesda, Maryland. Other teaching venues have included Smithsonian Associates, Frederick Community College, the Delaplaine Art Center, and Artists and Makers Studios. A juror, she offers popular art talks, demonstrations and critiques. Lundy coordinates and leads plein air painting workshops to Honduras, Italy, France, Sedona, Santa Fe, Costa Rica, Lewes, Delaware, the Shenandoah Mountains and many other beautiful locations.
