Craig is an award-winning artist who has participated in numerous solo, group, and fundraising shows, and has works held in private collections. He is a member of the plein air painting community and paints with local art societies including MAPAPA, WSLP paint outs, and the MFA Paint Annapolis and the Solomon Island Plein Air Festivals. He has led social painting activities with the Kent Island Federation of Painting, coordinates the Oatland’s Greenhouse Studio paint outs, hosts group life drawing sessions, and teaches painting methods and materials at the Yellow Barn Studio.

Craig holds an Associate of Arts from Montgomery College in Architectural Technology, majored in art at UMD, studied at the Schuler School of Fine Art, Yellow Barn Studio, Chesapeake Fine Art Studio, and Maryland Hall classes and workshops both here and abroad.

His painting style is representational, with an interest in ideas, symbolism, and deeper meaning. He explores a subject through the design, composition, handling of light and shadow, line and edge, and the shape and color of paint in a way that invites and intrigues the viewers’ conscious and subconscious.
