James was born in Wheaton Maryland and now resides in rural Poolesville, MD. James attended the Corcoran School of Art, Montgomery College and the University of Maryland.
He has developed a drawing technique with pen and ink of candid images showing public places that exemplify modern culture.
He chooses medium depending on the subject. His paintings are of many subject matters depending upon requirements from shows and clients. His art transforms the ordinary into revealing objects of interest.
James has participated in many communities art programs. He was President of the Montgomery Art Association where he was previously Vice President. His work has sold well locally.
