Justin Pyles

Justin Pyles is a Washington native who is inspired by the natural world’s beauty in relationship to the community and its most recognizable icons. His paintings celebrate color, form, texture and light to create the joy and feeling of being part of humankind during peak seasons and festivals.
He has taught and shown his work at local galleries and in New Orleans and received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Masters of Art Education from the Corcoran School of Art and Design.
Justin has an extensive art teaching background at schools such as the Smithsonian’s Early Enrichment Center, St. Andrew’s Episcopal, and The Torpedo Factory.
Justin believes everyone can learn to paint and draw with a disposition towards becoming a confident artist and a lifelong learner.
