Vian Borchert is an established and renowned award-winning expressionist artist. V. Borchert has exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions within the USA and internationally for decades. Vian is a graduate and “Notable Alumni” from the Corcoran College of Art and Design George Washington University, Washington, DC. Vian considers her expressionistic and abstracted art as visual poems. Vian Borchert’s art has been on exhibit in prestigious places such as the United Nations General Assembly’s Public Lobby Gallery, NYC, and in “Art Basel Miami Beach” Spectrum Miami, 1stdibs Design Center in Chelsea, NYC and the LA Art Show. Vian‘s art is in private collections worldwide, embassies, and museums. Borchert exhibits in major world cities such as NYC, LA, DC, Miami, London, Rome and Berlin. Moreover, Vian Borchert has been attributed in revolutionizing the current contemporary abstract expressionist art movement, and a number of art styles originated from her unique vision such as the abstracted woods since the artist resides by the woods and the waterfall painterly blue canvases. Most notably her love for the big blue and her signature use of the color blue in her abstract paintings created new waves of abstraction in the art world. In this V. Borchert has singularly attributed immensely to the advancement of abstract art in the world. Borchert believes in the importance of a proper art education and advises her students and emerging artists not to take shortcuts nor copy other artists’ work and stay truthful to themselves. Borchert stresses on the need for budding artists to learn the basics of drawing and painting. Thus, Borchert teaches classes in Beginning to Intermediate Drawing and Painting at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park. V. Borchert’s art has been featured in numerous well regarded publications such as The Washington Post, The Flux Review, Influential People magazine, Artpil, Elan magazine, Vie magazine, The Miami Art Scene, NPR’s Art Beat and others. Borchert has juried art exhibitions in the Washington DC area. Furthermore, Vian has extensive knowledge in art history, and she has worked in major museums such as the National Gallery of Art and the The Phillips Collection museum in Washington DC. Borchert teaches fine art classes in painting and drawing at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park.
