Join acclaimed painter and teacher Walter Bartman for classes and workshops designed for artists of all levels. Goldfinch offers instruction in watercolor, oil, acrylic, and drawing, with a particular emphasis on plein air painting and the ever-inspiring rural landscape—including one of Walt’s favorite subjects: cows.

History of the Goldfinch Studio
Founded by Walter Bartman in 2014, Goldfinch Studio and Gallery grew from his long-standing connection to the Middletown Valley and his desire to create a dedicated place for artists to work and learn. After living in the area for more than three decades, Walt was drawn to the valley’s remarkable scenery and the endless possibilities it offers for artists.
