History of the Goldfinch Studio
The Goldfinch Studio and Gallery was founded in 2014 by Walter Bartman, a resident of the Middletown area for thirty years. He wanted to open his studio in Middletown Valley because of its inspiring vistas. Everywhere you look is a painting.
Nestled at the foot of the Appalachian Trail and surrounded by cow pastures, the Goldfinch Studio breathes art. Classes and workshops are offered during the week and on weekends throughout the year.
The Goldfinch Studio is comprised of two studios for small classes in figure, still life, and landscape painting for students 16 years of age and older.
