Your gateway to the natural wonders of the Chesapeake Bay, Summerduck Studio is located in one of the last authentic fishing communities left on the Bay. Come for the classes and community, stay for the legendary Tilghman Island sunsets. Summerduck Studio is one of Walter Bartman’s four hubs for creativity in the region. Since 1984, thousands of students have flocked to Summerduck to paint and learn. As with all of our studios, Summerduck offers classes in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, and printmaking, with a special emphasis on plein air painting. Tilghman Island is the gateway to the Chesapeake Bay, full of inspirational sunsets, skipjacks, marshes, and harbors for an artist to paint.
